Children’s social maturation varies widely, particularly when they are very young. If your child is uncomfortable playing with other children, you may want to find a school with a very small teacher/student ratio or a school in which some of your child’s friends are enrolled. To learn about your child’s social maturation, ask your nursery school teacher about how well your child compares socially to other children of the same age.
